Aceflux is a sexual orientation on the asexual spectrum in which one's sexual orientation fluctuates between experiencing asexuality, greysexuality, and allosexuality, as well as any other ace-spec orientation.

Aceflux may be used as an orientation on its own, or may be paired with another orientation term that describes the experienced attraction (ex. aceflux bisexual).

Aceflux may overlap with abrosexual; however, one who is abrosexual experiences changes in what orientation of sexual attraction they experience (e.g. what gender[s] they are attracted to). Generally, when an aceflux individual feels attraction, the gender(s) they are attracted to are always the same. It is only how intensely they are attracted that changes.

The aceflux flag has existed since at least July 6, 2015.[1] consists of five stripes, making a gradient between red and purple. Red represents allosexuals, and purple represents asexuals. The gradient represents how aceflux individuals can move from feeling strongly asexual to strongly allosexual.

The first alternative aceflux flag was created by Tumblr user toothcity on February 17, 2020, and was designed to maintain the same meanings as the original flag while also being more accessible, especially towards those who suffer from eyestrain.[5]

Symbol[]

The aceflux symbol was created by Fandom user WiiFyneLM on October 28, 2021, for an LGBT+ poster.[8]
