Apothisexual is a microlabel on the asexual spectrum. It is another word for sex-repulsed and may be used by asexual individuals who attribute their lack of sexual attraction to their sex-repulsion.
Some apothisexual individuals are averse to the idea of engaging in sex themselves but are fine with sexual activity that does not involve them. Others may be repulsed by the idea of sex in general. Those who are apothisexual typically do not seek out sexual relationships.
Etymology[]
The prefix apothi- comes from the Greek word apothisan, meaning repulsed.
