Bi-Gay is a term for those that identify as both bi- and gay for any reason. It is under the M-Spec Gay umbrella. This may include Bi-Lesbian, Bi-Vincian, and Bi-Cenelian individuals. Reasons for identifying as bi-gay include:
- Having more attraction to similar genders as one's own gender than to other genders
- Being bi- in one type of attraction but gay in another (ex. biromantic homosexuals, biaesthetic homoromantic, etc)
- Being multigender and/or having attraction to multigender individuals, causing one to label their attraction as being both bi and gay
- Being homoflexible
- Being abro- and having one's fluidity include both bi- and gay
- Being in a system and having members that are both bi- and gay
- Having attraction to both gai individuals and one's own gender or similar genders

It is unknown when the term was coined, but the flag was created on January 26, 2021 by Tumblr user bi-lesbian[1]
An alternate flag was created on July 9, 2020 by Tumblr user neopronouns.[2]
