Hallian Flag

Flag created by JayTheVoid on July 22, 2021.

Hallian is a term that defines a queer attraction to nonbinary people and genders, and is a diamoric orientation. This attraction may or may not be exclusive, however it is can be used as exclusively NBLNB attraction. Hallians are nonbinary people who are attracted to other nonbinary people, whether that's the only attraction they feel or if they are attracted to women or men also. This can be sexual, romantic, sensual, platonic or any other kind of attraction.

Similarly, the idea that non-men and non-women are the only ones allowed to use the hallian label excludes non-binary men or non-binary women who feel as though the term hallian best fits their attraction. It also forces identifying as a man or woman into a binary, which is simply not the case, as manhood and womanhood do not have to be strictly binary in nature.

The term Hallian is in honour of Thomas/ine Hall, a genderfluid intersex person born in the early 1600's. Hallian is the nonbinary/gender neutral equivalent of Lesbian and Vincian, and in the same vain as Lesbian and Vincian, Hallian can also be used to denote one's gender (such as there are He/Him Lesbians and She/Her Vincians, there can be He/Him Hallians, She/Her Hallians, Ze/Hir Hallians, etc).

Other terms to describe nonbinary people who primarily love nonbinary people are enbian and diamoric.

The label and flag was created by JayTheVoid on a trans and nonbinary discord server, and subsequently posted to their Tumblr in July of 2021. The flag colours were created by blending the colours of the Lesbian and Vincian flags. No meanings has been assigned to the colours yet.
