Monoplatonic is a term and platonic orientation for those that experience platonic attraction to exactly one gender. This gender can be binary or not, and one may be heteroplatonic, homoplatonic, ceteroplatonic, etc. It can be used to refer to anyone that isn't multiplatonic and has platonic attraction.

History

It is unknown when the term was coined or first used, but the flag was created by Tumblr user beyond-mogai-pride-flags alongside the monosexual, monoromantic, monosensual, monoalterous, monoqueerplatonic, and monoaesthetic flags on January 16, 2018. It may have been coined when the flags were created.^{[citation needed]}
