The Multisexual Spectrum (also known as as mspec, plurisexual, the bisexual umbrella, the mspec umbrella, or the multi spectrum) is a sexuality spectrum/umbrella term consisting of any and all labels that represent the sexual attraction to more than one gender. The most well known labels on the spectrum are Bisexual, Pansexual, Polysexual, and Omnisexual.

The spectrum is often referred to as the Bisexual Umbrella, as bisexual is often seen as the umbrella term for all labels holding multigender attraction due to its fluidity. Any labels that describe attraction to more than one gender will fall under here.

History[]

Not much is known behind the history of this term. It was coined to hold all identities that hold attraction to more than one gender.

Labels[]

The following labels are known to be part of the spectrum.

Bisexual - Fluid identity that describes attraction to more than one gender; bisexuals may be attracted to a number of genders ranging from two to all with or without a gender preference

Pansexual - Attraction to all genders, or attraction regardless of gender, typically with no gender preference; sometimes thought of as being "gender-blind"

Polysexual - Attraction to more than one gender but not all, or attraction to many/multiple genders; may or may not have a gender preference

Omnisexual - Attraction to all genders wherein gender plays a role in said attraction; this could take the form of a gender preference or simply feeling that one's attraction feels different for different genders

Abrosexual - Fluidity between sexual orientations; for example, one may identify as gay one day and bisexual the next day

Agentosexual - Having, or having had, some degree of control over one's sexual attractions

Heteroflexible - Attraction primarily to the "opposite" (or dissimilar) gender(s) with occasional attraction to the same/similar gender(s); flexibility in one's heterosexual orientation

Homoflexible - Attraction primarily to the same/similar gender(s) with occasional attraction to the "opposite" (or dissimilar) gender(s); flexibility in one's homosexual orientation

Ambisexual - Attraction to the same/similar gender(s) as well as to dissimilar genders; a subset (and original definition) of Bisexual
