Optabilisexual flag

This is the optabilisexual/romantic flag, created by Sarvodila on January 14th, 2024.

Optabilisexual/romantic can be used to describe one who falls in love with someone by seeing how they act in a relationship. The concept of this term was made with fictosexuality/romance in mind, though this can apply to real people (falling more under proculsexual/romantic).

It can be sexual or romantic attraction. Someone who is optabilisexual/romantic may not feel an attraction to another until they see them in a relationship with someone other than themself. This term can be used for any sex, gender, and/or orientation.

The term derives from the Latin adjective "optabilis" which means "desirable". It was coined in 2022[1] by Azurescales (created the term) and Sarvodila (described the feeling and later created the flag) in the now-deleted List of Sexualities comment section.

The flag, created by Sarvodila on January 14th, 2024, can be used by people who identify as optabilisexual, optabiliromantic, or both. The yellow triangle in the middle represents the desire for someone who is already taken (one side being you, another for the one you love, and a third for the one/ones they are in a relationship with). The red stripe represents proculsexuality/romance cases in general, while the white and black stripes represent fictosexuality/romance (as it falls under asexual/romantic) cases specifically.
