Pan-Gay is an M-Spec Gay or stellian term for those that identify as both pan- and gay in some way, or are questioning or unsure between the two. This can include Pan-Veldian and Pan-Lesbian. Reasons for identifying as such include:
- Having pan attraction in one type of attraction and gay in another (ex. homoaesthetic pansexuals, panromantic homosexuals [would also be considered varioriented], etc)
- Being Abro- between gay and pan, or one's abro- orientation includes both pan- and gay
- Being part of a system with both gay and pan members
- Being homoflexible and occasionally experiencing attraction to genders other than similar genders to one's own
- Having a preference to similar genders as one's own gender but also being attracted to other genders
- Being multigender or omni/pangender, and considering one's attraction to be both pan and gay
- Being attracted to multigender or omni/pangender people

It is unknown when the term was coined, but the first flag was created on Tumblr blog bi-lesbian on January 26, 2021.[1]
The alternate flag was created on July 9, 2020 on Tumblr blog neopronouns.[2]
