Current Thermsexual and Thermgender flag (December 2023)
Thermsexual, sometimes shortened as therm, is an orientation falling under the pansexual umbrella. This term encompasses people whose orientation changes with the weather (see also thermgender). When it is warm outside, they feel most attracted to feminine-presenting individuals, and when it is cold outside, they feel most attracted to masculine-presenting individuals. In most moderate temperatures, thermsexual-identifying people may find themselves attracted to either both masculine- and feminine-presenting individuals or neither.
Thermsexual Flag[]
The thermsexual flag consists of 5 key horizontal rows. The first is yellow, representing warmth. Directly under this row is a dark blue, representing attraction to masculine-identifying people. The middle row is purple and is wider than the other rows, symbolizing the attraction to all identities in most moderate weather. The 4th row is pink, which represents attraction to feminine-identifying people, and the 5th is light blue, representing cold weather.
History[]
Thermsexual has not been found in literature or other publications, as it is a relatively new label to describe this orientation. While the concept of sexuality flowing with weather is not new, the term was first coined by Colton Johnson in late 2023 in the Western United States.
